back on the slopes after nearly 2 years!

finally, some great pics from our fun ski trip in january!  mom and phil took us to breckenridge for five days, and we invited great friends to join us for the trip.  Amy & John flew in from Ohio for the vacation, and we had so much fun seeing them and getting to know John better.  (side note:  amy & john just got engaged in december too!)
Mom & I at Breckenridge - we had the most beautiful weather all three ski days.
January skiing isn't always so great.
Richard, me & Amy skiing Loveland on day one.
Amy & I on Peak 7 at Breckenridge - we were tearing it up!
Phil & Paula at Breckenridge - Day 2.  What a cute skiing couple!
Amy & John at the top of Loveland pass - 11,990 ft!  brrrrrr

While Brooks didn't get to do any skiing, he had a great time at the house with lots of playtime with nana and daddy.
Thanks nana & grandpa phil for a great vacation!  We already can't wait until next year!

2008 - off to a GREAT start

We couldn't ask for a better way to bring in the end of 2007 than with an awesome win for the Deacs in the Mieneke Car Care Bowl! Go Deacs!
With the McCollums in from Dallas and Christy Parker here all the way from Denmark, we spent new year's up in Keystone at the Lewis's mountain house. Like a typical girls wake trip, we played lots of mexican train and laughed about old times. Only this time, we brought the boys along for the fun!

On New Year's Eve we braved -5* temperatures in River Run to see some great fireworks. While the Starbucks was out of almost every drink, some of us managed to warm up a little bit!

Happy 29th Em - what a great way to ring in the New Year!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas 2007!

The Fuquays and Schulzs joined us in Denver for Christmas again this year, and we all had a great time for about five days at our new house. The dogs were spoiled with all the love from our visitors, and we were spoiled with great food, great gifts and great company.

We also had a quick trip to Breckenridge for the day to ski. Unfortunately, the cold temps and 40 mile an hour winds made for a short day on the slopes! We headed home for warm food and more rounds of Bananagrams (like speed scrabble - check it out!).

December in Denver

December was a great month in Denver with a little snow and a lot of great time with friends.
We had a fun night out with the Lewises and Cahills in Larimer Square and the 16th Street Mall walking and looking at all the great downtown decorations and holiday lights. We ended the evening out at the famous Brown Palace Hotel - so pretty!

We also hit the slopes in Vail for a fun weekend of skiing with Matt Talley and his fiancee Anne and her family. While pretty cold, it was a great time and also a great dinner Saturday night at Sapphire! Yum Yum!
